Bowmanville, Ont. - After being named Rookie of the Year in Formula BMW in '04 & finishing 3rd overall in the Star Mazda Series in '05, Bridgestone Racing Academy & Series alumni James Hinchcliffe enjoys exciting season of Atlantic, Champ Car & A1GP accomplishments during '06!

The Oakville Ontario native grabbed front row starts, race wins, podium finishes and everything in between!

Hinchcliffe is the one of the latest Canadian open-wheel prodigies to follow in Moore's footsteps, scoring a victory in Portland and taking pole in Montreal in his first season in Champ Car Atlantic competition with Forsythe Championship Racing's new Atlantic squad. The popular driver has also displayed his skills off the track as well in 2006, serving ably as the colour analyst on the international Champ Car race broadcasts.

Commenting on his nomination James, currently on duty for A1 Team Canada in China ahead of Round three of the 2006-07 A1GP World Cup of Motorsport this Sunday, stated: "When I found out I was nominated for this award, I was blown away. It's such an incredible feeling. Greg was a hero of mine growing up, and to even be considered for an award in his honour is so rewarding in itself. Thank you to all who nominated me for this award."

The award winner is determined by a select board of Champ Car personnel, along with media and fan voting, with the honouree being chosen from a list of four nominees.
